Scope of Business
Our group business consists of coil business (Magnetics, Inverter, Automotive and others) and VOGT business (Component and EMS).
1. Coil Business
Magnetics Business
The Magnetics Company develops, manufactures and sells signal products (e.g. RF transformers/coils for high-frequency circuits in all electronic devices), power solution products (e.g. transformers for DC/DC converter and switching power supply, and common mode choke coils), and power inductors that were first commercialized by Sumida.
Inverter Business
Inverter Company develops, manufactures and sells inverter transformers and circuit modules for backlights of notebook PCs, monitors, LCD TVs, etc.
Automotive Business
The Automotive Company develops, manufactures and sells automotive-related coils and modules, such as ABS coils, injector coils and antennas for keyless entry systems, applying original winding technology.
2. VOGT Business
VOGT is a German manufacturer of electronic components, listing on the Frankfurt, Munich and other stock exchanges. VOGT develops, manufactures and sells electrical and electronic components having an advantage especially in automotive industry. Their communication modules for keyless entry and tire pressure monitoring sensors are one of their competitive products.
Their business premises are located in Germany, Austria, Romania, Slovenia and other European countries as well as Mexico, the United States and China.
Through management consolidation with VOGT, Sumida group would grow our sales in Europe and Asia, strengthening our automotive electronic component business, and utilizing complementary sales channels.
Component Business
VOGT component business consists of components and modules of automotive-related, communication, lighting, industrial and medical equipment and entertainment devices. Sales in this business account for about 60% of total sales, and we strive to increase sale in the future.
Key Products
Antenna coils, sensor and ignition coils and modules, noise filters, xDSL splitter modules and DC/DC converter transformers.
EMS Business
EMS business applies development of VOGT component business and manufacturing technology. Target applications are automotive-related, communication, lighting, industrial and medical equipments.
Key Products
Control units for power steering apparatus, GPS antennas, anti-theft control units, diesel engine control units and power supply.
