- January 1956
- Sumida Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd., was incorporated.
- December 1961
- The head office and factory moved to Kanamachi in Katsushika Ward.
- June 1963
- The company was renamed Sumida Electric Co., Ltd. and the new head office building opened.
- October 1966
- A manufacturing plant was incorporated in the city of Soma in Fukushima Prefecture. It was later renamed the Soma Technical Center.

- Taiwan Sumida Electronics Inc. was incorporated in Taiwan.
- October 1984
- Sumida Electric (H.K.) Company Limited began outsourcing operations to Panyu factory.

- Hong Kong branch was incorporated.

- Dong Guan Sumida Electric (Taiping) Company Limited was incorporated.

- Sendai Technical Center was incorporated.

- The head office moved to Nihonbashi in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

- Sumida Electric Co., Ltd., listed on the Second Level of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
- August 1999
- Sumida American Holdings, Inc (SAH), was incorporated through the acquisition of electromagnetic businesses C.P. Clair Corporation、 Clare E.M.G. Inc.、and C.P. Clare S.A. de C.V who become ClareREMtech Corporation and Clare REMtech de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. respectively.

- Name change to SUMIDA CORPORATION and group reorganization.
- SUMIDA CORPORATION advanced to the First Level of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
- Clare REMtech Corporation renamed REMtech Corporation.

- Telecommunications Technical Center opened in San Diego.

- Sumida REMtech Corporation was incorporated in San Diego (later renamed SRC Devices Inc.).
- October 2001
- Sumida Electronica de MEXICO, S.A. de C.V. and SRC Devices de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. were incorporated in Mexico.

- Suzhou Sumida Electric Co.,Ltd. was stablished in Suzhou, China.
