Sumida Group’s environmental activities

The figure shows the activity of Sumida group concerning the reduction of the environmental hazardous substances included in the product materials.
First, we grasp environmental regulations related to products and customer's requirement concerning the environmental hazardous substances.
Sales informs specified requirements with necessary information to the Design & Development department.
The Design & Development department selects materials which meet the requirements, and establishes processes so that contamination of hazardous substances does not occur.
For reduction of environmental hazardous substances, cooperation with materials suppliers is necessary and we exchange information from development stage.
Products are manufactured using materials based on specification in factories.
In factories, each process is controlled to avoid contamination of hazardous substances.
In this way, we deliver products with assurance to customers.
We monitor these activities regularly, and quality assurance management system is maintained and improved continually, in accordance with international standard such as ISO9001, ISO/TS16949, and ISO14001.
