Sumida Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd. was established in January, 1956.
(In June 1963 it was renamed Sumida Electric Co., Ltd, and in June 2000, the name was changed to SUMIDA CORPORATION.)

SUMIDA CORPORATION is purely a holding company which is in charge of the management strategy of the Sumida Group. Its main sources of income come from dividends from domestic and overseas subsidiary companies and rent from its land and buildings. A list of the subsidiary companies can be found in Sumida Group Network (36 subsidiary companies and one associated company which the equity method is applied for.)
