Developments in Japan - (a further update)

SUMIDA CORPORATION is pleased to inform our customers, business partners, investors, and shareholders, that all our operations in Japan are now operating normally, now that our R&D centre in Sendai has resumed normal operations.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support, trust and good wishes from all of you during the difficult weeks that have passed. We look forward to continuing and growing our relationship with you.

We continue to be vigilant and to monitor the situation, so that we can swiftly take the necessary measures, to address any possible new impacts on our business activities as a result of possible changes in the situation in Japan. We are still confident that there are no significant adverse consequences with respect to our current business forecast, though we will inform you in case we do need to make any adjustment.

Lastly, we sincerely express once again our condolences to the victims of the disaster and also our sympathy to those affected. SUMIDA CORPORATION has donated 20 million yen to aid victims and support the recovery of the areas affected. The SUMIDA Group and its employees sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the people and areas in Japan affected by the disaster.
